The opening scenes of Half-Life 1
When the original Half-Life was released, the intro scenes were different from any other game on the market at the time. The popular games at the time were Doom, Quake 1 and Quakeworld death match. Neither Doom nor Quake had much of a story plot to them, much less an awesome introduction scene.
From the very start of HL1, players knew this game was going to be “different”.
